Kitchen improvement...

...is one of the goals I wish to achieve this year. I only have a limited kitchen space at home so I try to maximize the space available. I always dream of having an efficient and beautifully designed kitchen but since I don't own a house yet, I am hoping to be able to accumulate all the must-have kitchen appliances and cooking and dining tools I could think of. When I go to shopping malls and when I browse the internet, I constantly look for kitchen sections and websites to check out all the new interesting stuff.

I am in need of a new gas range, because the one I'm using is almost about two decades old now and a range is one of the most important fixtures in the kitchen so it's important to have a fully functional and clean gas range. I also need a durable osterizer blender since every member of our family loves blended drinks especially fruit smoothies so I really think it's part of my essential items. A stand mixer is also one thing I am thinking of buying soon. I know it's worth buying a stand mixer because I do a lot of cooking and it's function is to handle delicate ingredients with ease.

I may be a nursing student but I have an innate love for cooking and when I graduate from nursing and after taking the board exam, I want take up a culinary course to enhance my skills and be able to establish a restaurant business in the future. It may seem impossible to have all the kitchen stuff I want as of the moment due to lack of budget but I know there will come a time when I'll have everything I need to make my cooking experiences more fun and interesting.

Christmas Eve Celebration

Merry Christmas everyone! I haven't updated this food blog for quite sometime and I honestly feel guilty because despite my absence, my page rank has not changed. It is still PR2. Thanks to my constant visitors. I am hoping to update this site more frequently.

Anyway, last night, we gathered together to rejoice and fill our bellies with the Nochebuena foods prepared on the table. I want to share with you our Christmas Eve menu which I personally planned, cooked and served.

Creamy SpaghettiI added milk to the spaghetti sauce and lots of grated cheese to achieve a creamy texture

Crunchy Tacos
Mango and Nata de CocoThis recipe is made up of mango chunks and nata de coco, plus milk and sugar. It's a very simple dessert which can be prepared in just a few minutes but it tastes really good!

ChampagneMy husband was able to buy this large bottle of champagne at a discounted price and I really liked its taste!
